SELFLESS bakers supported by a disability charity delivered homemade cakes to the hardworking DIY SOS crew.
The catering and hospitality team at the 'Sociables Hub' in Bewdley received a warm welcome from the crew, who have been filming in the town as they set out to transform the lives of a local family.
The bakers delivered bread pudding, lemon drizzle cake and Victoria sponge to the worksite on Monday morning.
Gaby Blackman and the DIY SOS crew welcomed the charity, chatted with them and took a photograph with them.
The 'Sociables Hub' team say they are excited to see the transformation and also plan to submit their own application to DIY SOS for a future project.
Sharon Fairfax, CEO of the charity, says she feels an affinity with the BBC show as they both aim to support people with disabilities.
She said: "We feel like we've got a common interest.
"DIY SOS is enabling people with disabilities to live their best life, which is what we do too.
"That's at the core of what we do. We help about 25 young people each day".
The 'Sociables Hub' charity was started by a group of parents in June 2015 and provides services in support of people who have disabilities, special needs, and complex health conditions.
They are passionate about promoting social inclusion and creating opportunities for young people.
They are based at Long Bank in Bewdley and hold workshops to build independence and allow people to learn skills.
The DIY SOS team started work on the project last week and will reveal the home's transformation on Thursday (October 31).
