A Kidderminster martial arts club is going to have to make some room in the trophy cabinet for six World Championship medals.
Seven members of Young Gloves Karate travelled to Rhodes, Greece to represent England in the WKU World Karate Championships.
Young Gloves Karate returned home with six medals after the five-day-long competition.
Sam Hayes won gold, Joshua Hayes won silver, and Shannon Phipps, Ethan Bishop, Elese Price, and Stephen Wentworth Pollock all won bronze.
The team was said to have "performed to a high standard", competing against the best in the world.
The squad, which was selected in May, trained hard in both club sessions and individually.
Head instructor, Sensei Justin Thomas, who founded the club in 1999 and has produced previous British, European and World Champions, said: "What a way to celebrate the club's 25th anniversary than these amazing martial artists competing at this level and producing karate champions.
"I can honestly say that the current squad representing Young Gloves and England are without a doubt the best I have ever produced.
"They are a total credit to martial arts, our club themselves and of course our country.
"I’m immensely proud of what we have achieved and very much look forward to what’s next for this very talented group."
The club is based in Kidderminster, Stourport, and Stourbridge and teaches life skills and values as well as self defence.
The club also hosts many charity events for the community.
Since being founded in 1999, the club has raised more than £80,000 for children's charities.
