A REDDITCH pensioner is riding high after selling hundreds of copies of his calendar featuring mobility scooters in Benidorm.

Kevin Beresford, aged 72, first shot to fame in 2003 with his calendar celebrating roundabouts.

It sold 100,000 copies globally and earned Kevin the title of “Britain’s dullest man”.

Since then, he has published a series of sequels including Roundabouts of the World in 2016.

Other calendars have showcased his favourite roadworks, village notice boards and recycling bins.

Last year he stepped it up when he created monthly pictures showing off England footballer Jack Grealish’s muscular calves.

Kevin has now come up with a celebration of his top 12 mobility scooter riders he spotted pootling around Benidorm during a holiday with pals.

Despite suffering from arthritis in both knees, Kevin has resisted getting a scooter himself, saying he “prefers to walk while I still can”.

He said: “My mate owns an apartment out in Benidorm and invited me to fly out last Christmas.

“While I was walking about I was amazed just how many people were on mobility scooters so I decided to take some pictures.

“I went out on Christmas Day and when I saw someone I’d give them a thumbs up and if they returned the thumbs up I took their photo.

“It was just great fun. I had no idea just how many designs of scooter there were.
“I even snapped a chap who was dressed in a Santa Claus outfit.

“There were people on single ones, two person designs and even ones with off-road tyres.

“I actually suffer from bad arthritis in both knees but I actually prefer to walk while I still can.”

Spanish police have been clamping down on abuse of the scooters, made popular by the likes of Madge in hit TV show Benidorm, over the past few years.

Despite this, scooters have become one of the most popular forms of transport in the resort, often being hired by holidaying Brits as a handy way to get about.

Kevin’s 2025 mobility scooter riders calendar costs £12.99 and can be ordered from https://dullkev.com.
