A man has died after a car left the road and went into a ditch in Worcestershire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called by West Mercia Police at 10.45am on Sunday (November 3) following reports of a car which had left the road and came to a rest in a ditch at the junction of Holloway Drive and Marlfield Lane in Redditch.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
Ambulance crews arrived to find police and fire crews performing CPR on the driver, a man, who had been extracted from the car.
The ambulance staff started advanced life support but despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "A man has sadly died after a single-car road traffic collision in Redditch yesterday morning.
"Crews arrived quickly on scene to find police and fire colleagues performing CPR on the driver, a man, who had been extricated from the car.
"The team of ambulance staff commenced advanced life support on scene but sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead a short time later on the scene."
