A PLANNING application has been submitted to convert an office building into new town centre apartments.

The plan seeks to change the use of 29 Church Street, a Grade II listed office building, into seven new flats, most recently used by Painters Law LLP.

The heritage statement says: “The property has laid empty for some time despite being advertised on the open market.

“The Estate Agents have indicated that there is not the demand for large office blocks of this nature in Kidderminster Town Centre.

“It is further undesirable as offices due to lack of on-site parking.

“It is likely that unless redevelopment of the property is undertaken it will lie empty and deteriorate”.

“It would not create significant harm to the area or have any affect on neighbouring properties”.

The planning application is now available to view via Wyre Forest District Council’s planning website by searching the reference 24/0745/FUL.
