A MAN has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Jason Carter, aged 54, is charged with causing the death of Barry Russell.
Carter, of Ely Close, Kidderminster is accused of driving a Seat Ibiza dangerously on the A458 between Cressage and Harley in Shropshire on October 31, 2023.
He appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday (November 5) for an initial hearing where he was granted bail.
He is set to attend a plea and trial preparation hearing at Shrewsbury Crown Court on December 3.
West Mercia Police previously issued a witness police after the collision between two vehicles on the A458, near to the Harley nursery.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The collision happened at around 1.50pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 31 October) when a Seat Ibiza was travelling north on the A458 towards Shrewsbury and a Nissan Micra was travelling south on the same piece of road, towards Bridgnorth. The Seat Ibiza and the Micra have collided".
