THE disco sensation, Saturday Night Fever, had delighted audiences cheering and clapping along at the Stourport Civic.
Last week’s run by local musical production company Limelight proved a resounding success.
A strong and energetic cast transported theatre-goers back to the dancefloors of the ‘70s with iconic Bee Gees’ hits including Night Fever, Stayin’ Alive and How Deep is Your Love.
Tom Gallacher proved himself the cool, slick, disco king as Tony Manero – the role that turned John Travolta into a household name in the 1977 film.
Laura Attwell gave a stellar performance as Stephanie Mangano and Harriet Edwards as Annette, brought the house down with her rendition of If I Can’t Have You.
Director and choreographer Jane Bennett said: “The run-up to opening night was not without stresses as in some ways the gods seemed to be against us. But we made it and were delighted by the feedback from audiences who clearly very much enjoyed the show.
“I would like to give a huge thank you to our incredible cast and all those who supported the production backstage, with lighting, sound, set and front of house.”
