Members of a popular gym in Kidderminster have helped raise hundreds of pounds for charity.
41 women from CrossFit Wyre Forest took part in a workout designed by one of the coaches Karen Simmonds to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
Those who took part embraced the challenge and helped support each other with the group managing to raise an incredible £905 for the charity.
Coach Karen Simmonds said: "Women pull together in times of need so I wanted to reflect that in the workout movements. No one got left behind.
"I devised a CrossFit style circuit and we worked in pairs. There were variations of each move that allowed everyone to just move at their own pace. No worrying about slowing someone else down as level of fitness was irrelevant.
"The atmosphere was incredible. The 41 women embraced the workout, supported each other through the movements and just had a really good time. I felt extremely proud to have helped bring these women together in such an enjoyable way. Community spirit? That is CrossFit after all."
After burning some calories, everyone helped themselves to homemade cakes, biscuits and some prosecco.
Gym owner and head coach Phil Oliver added: "In 16 years of owning our CrossFit gym, we have often hosted events to raise awareness and much needed funds for charities along with many of our members who frequently take part in charity runs, swims, walks and more supported by us and our members.
"This is where our community of athletes really come into their own all exercising together for a great cause.
"On November 30, the guys get their turn to take part in a charity workout hosted every year for Movember."
The gym said it always contacts other local gyms to see if they’d be interested in coming along to participate for a great workout and a great cause.
