Spice Fusion wins Good Food Award for third consecutive year

Spice Fusion, a south Asian restaurant in Dunhampton, near Droitwich, received the Good Food Award for its outstanding menu and service.

The restaurant has been serving customers for 18 years and has built up a huge following.

Muhid Miah, co-owner of Spice Fusion, said: "We are delighted to get the recognition.

"It takes a lot of hard work from us and the staff to get the restaurant to this standard.

"Year on year we have strived to make it better and we'd like to thank everyone for nominating us."

Spice Fusion is no stranger to the Good Food Awards, having also won in the previous two years.

As a result of their consistently high ratings, Spice Fusion received the Gold Seal distinction.

Mr Miah explained why the restaurant has seen this success.

He said: "We keep true to what we do and we never let our quality drop.

"We make sure our customers feel welcome every time and seeing our guests leave happy is the best part of the job."

Spice Fusion has even seen some famous faces walk through the door and try their award-winning menu, such as former Southampton striker Matt Le Tissier paid a visit to the restaurant.

Sahid Ali, manager of the restaurant, said: "He is really lovely actually and really nice and presentable.

"He enjoyed everything and made nice comments about our food and he definitely enjoyed it."

The Good Food Awards were set up in 2002 to recognise the people and businesses who went the extra mile in the industry.

Award winners are selected from nominations made by customers to the locations.

Spice Fusion was not the only business in Worcestershire to take home a title.

The Queen Elizabeth Inn, a community-run pub in Elmley Castle, picked up an award in the gastro pubs category, while Buongiorno Cafe, Evesham, picked up the award for their performance in the Cafes categories.
