Three people have been rushed to hospital following a serious collision in Kidderminster. 

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to a two-car collision at the junction of the A451 Stourport Road and Walter Nash Road at around 9.49pm yesterday (Monday, November 18). 

Three ambulances, three paramedic officers and a BASICS emergency doctor were sent to the scene. 

On arrival, crews found four patients including three with serious injuries who were taken to hospital for further treatment. 

A fourth patient, a woman, was assessed at the scene before being discharged by ambulance staff.

West Mercia Police also attended the scene and closed the road whilst emergency services dealt with the incident. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival, crews found four patients including three women and one man. 

"The first patient, a woman, who was the front seat passenger sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance staff to Queen Elizabeth Hospital under blue light conditions. 

"Two further patients, a man and a woman, who were the driver and the rear seat passenger, sustained serious injuries and were treated at the scene before being conveyed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. 

"A fourth patient, a woman, was assessed at the scene before being discharged by ambulance staff."

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A451, Stourport Road in Kidderminster at around 9.50pm yesterday (Monday, November 18).

"Three people were taken to hospital with minor and serious injuries, not deemed to be life-threatening. One person was arrested in relation to the collision."
