A PLAN to introduce a 20mph speed limit on roads in the "immediate" town centre has been revealed for Bewdley.
Worcestershire County Councillor Dan Morehead says he has been working with residents, the town council and on behalf of community groups that have been asking for a 20mph speed limit in the centre of Bewdley for ten years.
On the back of this, a 20mph scheme for the "immediate" town centre has been proposed. A public consultation asking for people's views is set to start on Thursday, November 28.
Councillor Morehead said: "I'm pleased that we have been able to get this consultation into the public domain at long last".
He confirmed that more information on the scheme and how residents can have their say will be shared next week.
