The festive season got off to a dazzling start in Stourport at the much-loved Christmas light switch-on event and parade.

Before the town was officially lit up for Christmas, pupils from St Bartholomew's Primary School and Astley CofE Primary School led the parade which started from the car park off Martins Way at 6pm.

Children and parents from six other schools, youth groups and more also took part in the parade.

From live music and street food to an action-packed parade and fireworks, there was something to make sure everyone was feeling the Christmas spirit at the annual Three Kings Parade.

Once the parade finished making its way through the town at the Civic Centre, Stourport was officially illuminated shortly after 7pm with a spectacular fireworks display.

The festivities did not stop there, with a craft fayre taking place and refreshments being on offer in the Civic Hall.

A number of traders and businesses were on hand selling tasty treats and drinks to those in attendance, thanks to the support of Andy Dyer from Eat Street Repeat who offers his help for free.

There was also live music and pantomime tickets on sale, with the nativity scene featured in York Street.

Stay tuned for more photos of the  celebrations soon.
