An upcoming talk will explore the Golden Age of Piracy.
Jon Hindley will speak to the Kidderminster Historical Society on Thursday, December 12, about infamous pirates like Blackbeard and Captain Kidd.
The talk, starting at 2.30pm at The Museum of Carpet, Stour Vale Mill, Green Street, will also delve into piracy myths and general history, with Mr Hindley in period costume.
Mr Hindley, a historian who works with museums in Sandwell and beyond, will also clarify some common misconceptions about pirate attire, and explain the significance of items like eye patches and earrings.
Visitors are welcome for a small fee.
