FLOOD barriers in place in Bewdley means that stalls originally planned to be set up on the riverside for the Christmas lights switch-on will be moved for the event.
Bewdley Town Council has confirmed that the market stalls planned to be installed on Severnside North, will now be installed on Load Street on Saturday (November 30) for the highly anticipated event.
It's due to the flood barriers on Severnside remaining in place over the weekend. They are expected to be removed on Tuesday, December 3.
Load Street will now be closed to traffic from 9am until 7pm, rather than from 11am as previously notified.
On the website, Bewdley Town Council said visitors can expect street entertainers, artisan food and drink, funfair rides, Santa's Grotto, singing acts and DJ entertainment, a vintage carousel and more.
They added: "Stilt walkers, jugglers and segwaying Nutcrackers. Be entertained by their antics around the town.
"A vintage carousel will be a spinning delight for younger children while the family can enter into the human snow globe for fun snowy frolics."
The countdown to the light switch-on will take place at 5.30pm.
