Hi there, sorry I haven’t been in touch for awhile but I was stuck in a pothole in the road. We pay so much road tax and fuel duty…but where does the money go..it certainly doesn’t fill in the potholes. I am now having to put abseiling gear in my boot for the numerous hazards that you can come across when travelling around the area.
I have heard of people going missing and travelling to the centre of the earth when their original journey was to go shopping at Tesco…..and that is another story in itself.
Why are our roads so bad, they often appear in patchwork quilting design magazines and I feel could be entered in the abstract art photography competitions.
What gives…cars are now produced to go from 0 to 60 in a nano second with greater fuel economy and aerodynamics, but capability for pothole bumping….not in the spec. So the only recourse is to drive inanely slow and in a wiggly way. Perhaps it should be programmed into satnav software.
Perhaps all new cars should be provided with a pothole emergency kit, compromising a shovel, bucket of tar, men at work sign, sorry persons at work; and a how to instruction book……..
