Green- minded youngsters have been leading the way in composting waste fruit at their school. A competition to design a poster encouraging their classmates to put their waste fruit in the fruit bins was organised as part of National composting week by Burlish Park Primary eco committee members Claire Baldwin 11 and 10 year old Ella Rose of year six.
Winners were presented with packs of eco-friendly stationery sourced by Claire’s father Tim Baldwin who works for Advantage West Midlands.
The winners were S Booth 11, Georgia Little 7, Martha Willis and Connor Roberts both aged 5.
