So the January transfer window is up and running and already the Harriers have made a positive start by signing Lee Baker full time from West Brom but can they add or will they sell ?
Baker has been a regular since joining on loan at the start of the season and has improved week by week and is a great addition to the squad but I'm sure most Harriers fans will be wandering will players be leaving like they did last January ?
With the club in such a fantastic position I'm hoping the squad can stay together but every player has their price and if someone was to come in with an offer the club would have to consider it but hopefully turn it down at least until the end of the season.
So Harriers fans who would you like to see come in and who if any would you like to go ?
For me i would like to see another 1 or 2 attacking players come into the club and yes i know funds are at a minimum but it proved with Lee Baker there are players out there who can come in on loan and do a job and why not premiership clubs are loaning players so if its good enough for them then why not Harriers?
If you look at the table there's only Cambridge in the top 8 who have scored less than the Harriers and I'm not knocking the club, Mark Yates is doing better than most expected but with another striker I'm sure the club can push on and keep going in the right direction.
I know it sounds easier than it is, getting the right player to fit in has to be priority so here's a couple of players who were without clubs and could do a job for Harriers i feel.
MARTIN BUTLER - former Reading and Rotherham striker released by Grimsby Town in October last year now I'm not 100% sure if he has another club but with him being a local lad and living in the area I'm sure at 34 his experience could help the Harriers even just for the rest of this season.
ISHMEL DEMONTAGNAC- former Charlton youth player who was released by Walsall in November for breaching club rules, Ive been speaking to a fan who goes to every game and he tells me that this 20 year old winger was an exciting prospect who was a fans favourite and rather than being released he should of been offered help by the club at his time of need maybe with a fresh start he could also do Harriers a good job for the rest of the season if available ?
Overall I'm sure most Harriers fans would of snapped anyone's hand off if being offered 4th place half way through the season and rather than losing players i just hope for the fans sake the club can add and push on to whats been a very good season so far.
