At 3.20 yesterday i was stood at Aggborough thinking to myself this could be it, out of the play offs and 7 difficult remaining games to try and get back in.
Then one crazy moment of madness by Stevenage Borough`s Darren Murphy giving the referee no option but to show him red turned the game on its head as Borough lost complete control and discipline of the game letting Harriers back in and although gifting them a 2 goal start played some superb 2ND half football to win 4-2 boosting their play off hopes with a 4 point advantage and get revenge for their f.a.trophy defeat at Wembley.
So 7 remaining cup finals for Harriers with 5 of them away its going to be a tough ask but 21 out of the last 27 points Harriers are the form side in the division and no one are going to want to play them at the moment.
A win at Forest Green can see them open up a 7 point gap and with games coming up against the likes of Burton,Histon,Kettering and Stevenage again Harriers have to take full advantage and keep the pressure on those clubs around them.
A boost in yesterday`s attendance of over 2000 seem to spur the lads on to victory and with a bit of luck more will return for their final 2 remaining home games.
Can they maintain their position ? After yesterdays never say die attitude i say yes they can and with another possible trip to Wembley on the horizon the town can get behind the lads and push them on.
COME ON YOU REDS.
