A WEEK-long charity music festival returns to Wyre Forest this month with a line-up headed by legendary band The Blockheads.
Wyre Fest, which was called Kidderminster Music Festival last year, features five days of gigs in Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley.
The festival finishes with a gig at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, October 3 by The Blockheads. Lending support are Slowburner and Supertonicks.
Originally fronted by Ian Dury, the group has continued performing and recording since his death in March 2000.
Comedian Phill Jupitus replaced Dury for a time but Derek Hussey, Dury’s friend and former minder, has now taken over vocal duties.
The group scored hits in the late 70s and early 80s with Sex and Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll, What a Waste and Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick.
We've got Blockheads albums to give away to commemorate the gig, plus badges and t-shirts. The albums are New Boots and Panties, Reasons to be Cheerful and Staring down the Barrel.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer this question: What was the title of the Blockheads' only number one single?
