IT’S difficult to believe that this is the 12th edition of Wolverley Whispers (although only the second of the new school).
My life as editor would be much easier if my team of reporters didn’t keep changing but students will insist on leaving school just because they’ve grown up! Very selfish, in my opinion.
Every year I panic that I won’t be able to muster a strong enough team, yet every year I’m proved wrong (thankfully) and this year is no exception.
What is particularly encouraging is that many of the contributors are from the lower school – indeed, a couple from years seven and eight – which bodes well for a ‘ready-made’ team of reporters next year. My grateful thanks go to: Becky Rawlings (year 13), Lewis Carter (year 12), Charlotte Priest, Lewis Reynolds, Joe Ludwig, Sophie Woodcock, Casey Greaves and Sarah White (all year 10), Ben Stanley (year eight) and Evie Reynolds (year seven).
They’ve all worked very hard, usually in their own time, to ensure that Wolverley Whispers contains plenty of relevant, lively and interesting articles.
A special thank you must go to Mrs Julie Bywater, the school’s marketing manager, who has been invaluable in keeping me abreast of all that goes on.
I hope you enjoy reading this year’s WW; should you wish to join our team – or want to tell us about something you think is worth reporting – then please contact Mrs Taylor in the English department.
