THE stars of the future took to the stage as our students held their very own version of Britain’s Got Talent on March 5. Talented students danced, sang and acted their way through auditions to reach the final.
The best of the acts took part in a live show where they were judged by a special guest panel of staff posing as famous judges such as Simon Cowell. In an extra twist, the audience voted for their favourite act. Evie Reynolds, year seven, was crowned this year’s winner for her tuneful rendition of Killing Me Softly.
Second place went to Emily Whitehouse, Brooke Roper and Elissa Sly who formed girl group 3 Spirit and third place went to Rob Broadhurst who performed an acoustic version of Johnny Cash’s Hurt.
The concert was organised by sixth former Natalie Page in aid of The Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir, for whom over £500 was raised.
