YOUNG musicians and singers from a Stourport school gave nursing home residents a festive treat when they performed Christmas carols.
Members of Burlish Park Primary School’s guitar, choir and fife groups brightened up Ravenhurst Nursing Home when they entertained the residents with songs.
The choir sang favourites such as Jingle Bells, while the guitarists played along.
Xylia Reading, teaching assistant, said: “Everybody had a wonderful day. It was a really lovely experience.
“We made lots of people so very happy. The elderly residents all got involved and joined in an encore of Jingle Bells.
“It really was wonderful. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and they can’t wait for us to go back again. It made it all worthwhile. It was really lovely.”
The children also performed for elderly people at Stourport Social Day Centre.
