A GROUP of people in the “third age” of their life has boosted the Millbrook Appeal by donating money gathered at their carol service.
The University of the Third Age (U3A) sold hand-made cards and held a raffle, raising £73 for the appeal.
Anne Plant, secretary of the organisation, said: “We are pleased to be able to give a little support to such a worthwhile cause.”
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a 200-member self-help organisation for people who have reached the stage of their life after the “second age” of full-time employment and parental responsibility.
General meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 2pm in Kidderminster Town Hall, featuring a talk or demonstration on a range of topics, information on group activities, a book stall and refreshments.
