A HISTORIC landmark will be used as the backdrop for the performance of an Oscar Wilde play.
An Ideal Husband will be presented by the Heartbreak Theatre Company in the grounds of Witley Court.
Written in 1895, the play revolves around blackmail and political corruption, touching on the themes of public and private honour.
Government minister Robert Chiltern’s career and marriage are threatened when a woman turns up claiming to have evidence of his dark past.
Visitors are encouraged to take picnics and chairs to the event, which starts at 7.30pm next Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19. The gates will open at 6.30pm.
