THE newly-revamped Millbrook Suite was shown off to visitors at an open day.
The event was held on Sunday for people to see the refurbishment that had been done at Kidderminster Hospital’s cancer unit.
David Wase, League of Friends chairman, said: “We have had a lot of good feedback from members of the public and patients in particular.
“The unit is looking very smart and we’re proud of what has been achieved.”
The suite re-opened earlier this month following work paid for using £150,000 raised by Shuttle readers last year.
The Millbrook Appeal was run by the paper and the League of Friends, who donated £100,000 towards the total £250,000 cost of the project.
The work means cancer patients can now be treated in more comfortable and modern surroundings.
