FOODIES can take their tastebuds on a journey of the globe at the second Wyre Forest World Food Event.
Delicacies of the district and beyond will be displayed in Kidderminster town centre opposite T J Hughes from 11am until 3pm next Monday.
Visitors can feast on the sights, sounds and smells of the many cuisines on offer and can sample and buy products.
The event has been organised by Wyre Forest District Council. Conservative councillor, John Campion, Leader of the council, said: “We hope the event will give residents the opportunity to experience different cultures within the community, while sharing one common love - food.
“The idea behind the event is to build on the sense of community in the town. It will showcase local shops and produce and we hope that everyone will have the opportunity to taste something new, while also supporting local businesses.”
The event will feature food from India, Persia, China and Italy. Stands will be provided by local food producers, including Bewdley Brewery, Vaccaro's Fine Italian Deli, Churchfield's Ice Cream and Kinver Sausage Co.
