POLICE are to target anti-social behaviour on a Kidderminster estate after residents highlighted problems.

Youngsters playing ball games, including golf, in Conningsby Drive, Franche, was among the complaints made at a Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting in the town on Monday last week.

The area's community support officer and local police officer will now work together to identify those responsible while dealing with offences committed.

The PACT programme enables communities to identify and prioritise local problems on a monthly basis, so they can be tackled with the help of the police.

PC Gordon Robbins, who attended the meeting, said: "This is the very reason we have PACT - so that the community can bring their concerns to our attention and we can deal with them, together with the help of our partners.

"PACT is just one part of a local policing drive. We are also increasing the number of CSOs (Community Support Officers) in the community."

A PACT meeting will be held at Franche First School in Chestnut Grove at 7pm on Monday, September 18.

The Greenlands PACT meeting will move to Lea Street First School.

The next meeting is at 6.30pm next Tuesday.
