THE winners of a photographic competition for Scouts organised by Kidderminster Rotary Club have been presented with their prizes by the town Mayor.
Kidderminster Mayor, Jeffrey Baker, commended the four young snappers who were the winners of a competition open to all Cubs, Scouts and Beavers in Kidderminster District.
There were more than 100 entries in total, prompting the Rotary club to start planning another similar competition.
Les Brame, organiser, explained that Rotary clubs aimed to support local organisations and give something back to the community.
He added that the youngsters had been “thrilled” to receive their prizes during the event at the Ramada Hotel in Bewdley.
There were four £50 voucher prizes donated by Jessops in Kidderminster for the best Beaver, Cub and Scout entry along with a “highly commended” prize open to all the remaining entries.
Mr Brame said: “They were delighted. It was lovely to have the four winners come along because they were so thrilled, especially the little Beaver.”
The winning pictures show a spider, moth, sea birds and a sea scape.
