ABBERLEY Young Farmers Club (YFC) is appealing for information about the club’s past.
The club is more than 50 years old but fell dormant in about 2000 until a relaunch took place in September 2010.
Anna-May Furness, chairman, said: “We know very little about the club’s past, who was involved or even when it first started exactly.
“So if you think you could help us we would like to invite you along to a social evening at Abberley Village Hall on Friday, April 1 from 7pm.
“Please bring any photos or memories with you as we are compiling a display for this year’s county show and we would love your help.
“You never know you could meet some old friends again.”
There will be food and entry will be free. There will also be a raffle in aid of St Richard’s Hospice which is Abberley YFC’S charity this year.
Anna-May said: “We hope to give everybody a chance to remember Abberley YFCs past and celebrate what has been achieved within the club and what is to come in the future.
“The club is full of an enthusiastic bunch of youngsters who are aiming high within the county competitions having recently been placed second in the entertainments at The Regal Theatre and winning the junior reading, public speaking and cycling competitions.
“We are always keen to welcome new members and you don’t have to be a farmer to be a young farmer.”
