A BRINTONS director has left the company and will join the manufacturers of the iconic London taxi cab.
Peter Johansen was Brintons group finance director for six years, before he handed in his notice in September, when the family carpet dynasty went into administration.
A spokeswoman for Brintons said he left the carpet makers three weeks ago in an “amicable” hand over to interim finance director Martin Hopcroft. She said the company was now looking for someone permanent for the role.
On Thursday, Mr Johansen will begin as finance director for Coventry-based firm Manganese Bronze, famous for making the black cab.
Brintons, which was bought out of administration by American private equity giant Carlyle, is currently in consultation over 75 redundancies and plans to quit its Kidderminster town centre office.
