A MAN killed in a motorbike collision near Dunley is believed to be in his 20s and from the Stourport area.
It happened at around 5.20pm on Friday, 11 May, on the A451 between Dunley and Great Witley on.
A black Yamaha motorbike collided with a grey Land Rover Discovery.
The rider of the Yamaha was killed in the collision. He has not yet formally been identified.
PC Nick Gimbert is investigating the circumstances of the collision. He said: "It is believed the motorcycle was travelling towards Dunley when the rider came off his bike.
"The Land Rover - which was travelling in the opposite direction towards Great Witley - has then collided with the motorcyclist. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the paramedics to resuscitate the rider, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"We are conducting an investigation into the circumstances and I would appeal for anyone who saw the incident, or either of the vehicles in the time leading up to the crash to get in touch."
A post mortem is expected to be held later this week and an inquest will be opened in due course.
Anyone with information about this incident can call PC Gimbert on 0300 333 3000, quoting 491S 110512.
