BEWDLEY sailor Alison Young has made a solid start to the London Games after finishing seventh in the first race of the Laser Radial class today.
The 25-year-old was only 57 seconds behind Ireland's Annalise Murphy, who was first home in Weymouth in 56 minutes and 59 seconds.
The second round is currently underway, with Young 10th near the halfway stage.
