STOURPORT pupils were celebrating today after achieving “stunning" results in their A Levels.
Students from Stourport High School and IVth Form Centre achieved a 100 per cent pass rate with the majority of students guaranteeing their first choice university place.
Principal Liz Quinn said: “We are incredibly proud of our students who have yet again achieved results well above predictions and have a great foundation for their next phase in life.
“There are some amazing results from our high achievers and some fantastic stories of students achieving against the odds.”
Student Beth Davies achieved three A*s in Chemistry, Psychology and Maths and an A in Biology.
She said: “I’ve equalled my sister Becky’s three A*s from last year. I think there was a little bit of competition.
“I’m going to Cardiff to study biomedical sciences and after that I can convert to medicine and be a doctor.
“My results are a big relief, it’s been stressful.”
Ms Quinn added: “Beth’s results are stunning.”
Students achieved 74 per cent of passes at A* to C with 47 per cent at grade B or above.
Ms Quinn added: “We are proud to support students and ensure everyone can be the best they can be.”
