KIDDERMINSTER students have achieved an “excellent set” of A Level results.
King Charles I School pupils gained a pass rate of 98.5 per cent, up 0.5 per cent from last year with 76 per cent at A* to C.
Headteacher Tim Gulliver said: “We’re extremely pleased. They are an excellent set of results. Each year, we strive to do better and I’m so pleased for the young people.
“Their parents and teachers are a substantial support for them.”
Student Lauren Brennan, who commutes from Ludlow to the school, achieved two As in chemistry and psychology and a B in biology.
Her results mean she will be the first member of her family to go to university.
She said: “I’m going to do a medicine foundation course for one year at East Anglia and then hopefully go on to do a full medicine degree.
“I hope to become a doctor and then specialise in psychology.”
Jessica Lewis-Shermer hopes her results allow her to become a drama teacher. She achieved a distinction* in performing arts and three As in history, english and philosophy and ethics.
She said: “I am over the mood, I’ve never been so happy.”
