VOLUNTEERS are needed to host pink-themed events to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.
October is breast cancer awareness month and a hotel in Stone has already pledged its support by organising a number of pink-themed activities and fundraisers.
Stone Manor Hotel will be ‘going pink’ for Breakthrough Breast Cancer by creating pink cocktails, pink desserts, pink specials from the Chef as well as staff members wearing pink clothes and pink name badges and ties at weddings.
Organiser Sarah Bassett said: “Supporting Breakthrough Breast Cancer is so important because everyone knows someone who has been affected by the disease.
“A very good friend of mine lost her mother leaving children and grand children behind and was only very young. I have raised money in the past for the great memory of Sarah Ashman.
“We’re really looking forward to Going Pink this October and raising money for Breakthrough.”
