COMPANIES in Wyre Forest are being urged to make the most of opportunities available through the 2012 Olympics.
The Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire is recommending businesses join the race now, with the launch of Compete For, a business "dating agency".
Compete For is a site that will act as a brokerage service between firms already in the supply chain for London 2012 and potential suppliers.
It has been launched to help companies across the UK compete for thousands of business opportunities and is designed to make the tendering process more realistic for small to medium-sized enterprises - SMEs.
It will also put larger firms in touch with the small and medium suppliers they will need to deliver on Olympic-based projects.
Peter Turvey is the opportunities co-ordinator for Worcestershire for the 2012 Games, working with the Chamber of Commerce to provide a range of services to ensure local businesses receive the support to realise the opportunities available.
