WHILST recognising that control of parking during car boot sales is necessary, I am wondering which moron instigated the erection of 48 "no parking/waiting posts" in the Dunley Road/Pearl Lane/ Ribbesford area. They are a great eyesore, a wanton waste of public money - and a total overreaction. A bit of lateral thinking might have resulted in the transfer of one of the two parking attendants seen patrolling Stourport High Street to the Dunley Road for a short period each boot day, thus negating the need for these signs.
Two attendants patrolling our High Street also seems excessive. Does somebody have a hidden agenda to force customers away, thus resulting in the closure of our shops and hence justifying the arrival of Tesco?
