I share the concerns expressed by Gill Atkin regarding blood test changes.
I am a primary school teacher in Sandwell and have to go for blood tests every few months.
The only time I can attend the clinic is early in the morning when it first opens so that I can then get straight to work.
In the past I have arrived at the clinic at around 7.45am and because of the efficiency of the ladies who work there, coupled with the fact that I can attend at a time to suit me, I have always been able to be in and out with minimum disruption to my day.
I have never had to wait too long, even if there have been several people in front of me in the queue.
For me personally, an appointment system would not be suitable as I believe I would have less choice as to when I could attend. In my opinion, the present system works well, so why change it?
