MARK GARNIER, Conservative parliamentary spokesman, is supporting Worcester as the site for a radiotherapy unit (Shuttle, February 21). What a pity he did not support the campaign, along with over 6,000 Wyre Forest residents, to have it located in the Millbrook Suite at Kidderminster Hospital.
He seems resigned to the fact that it is lost to Kidderminster forever and accepts the fact that Worcester "is the second best alternative for Wyre Forest."
Would he not be better off establishing who makes these health decisions and what criteria they use to make recommendations?
Then he could both question the decision and fight for its reversal.
