IN response to the letter Roadworks Come All At Same Time', I would like to comment.
Why should the residents of Winbrook in Bewdley have to suffer the inconvenience of noise and lack of sleep throughout the night just so road users are not inconvenienced by going round the by-pass?
To me this is totally a selfish point of view. It appears from the letter that the person in question does not actually drive down Winbrook to get into town, but to go through it only as a convenience. Isn't this why the bypass was built in the first place for through traffic?
Stating the hold-ups give some idea as to what the traffic is like in London is a total over exaggeration.
I would just like to point out one thing - it's not the council doing the work, its being done on behalf of Severn Trent.
