SOME time ago I read in your paper a letter from one of your readers complaining about dog mess on Hartlebury Common.
He did not mention the mess from the public. On a recent Monday morning I took a bin liner onto the common and filled it with cans, cigarette packets, sweet papers, bottles and plastic bags.
A few years ago people were taught to take their rubbish home. Present-day society complain and moan but do not take pride in where they walk.
Hartlebury Common is 220 acres of beautiful countryside which the public is very lucky to be able to walk on.
Yes, I am having a moan about the litter but I have put my money where my mouth is and been out and cleared up other people's mess and not said that it is the responsibility of someone else.
