MAY I take this opportunity to thank all those organisations that responded so quickly on Easter Monday to what was thought to be diesel oil leaking from a recycling lorry (but turned out to be hydraulic fluid) throughout Tabbs Gardens in Kidderminster.
Kidderminster Fire Brigade were first on the scene. They then contacted Wyre Forest District Council, and, I assume, the police, who then telephoned me for more details, prior to contacting the Highways Agency.
The Highways Agency were here within minutes, and I can only assume that the clean-up job was too big a task for one man, and next came a two-man team with sand to spread on the road.
Then a gritting lorry turned up spreading sand and gravel over the roads.
To finish, a sweeper lorry tuned out, and 45 minutes later, Tabbs Gardens was free of all the hydraulic fluid.
To give credit where it is due the police kept me informed of the actions they had taken to bring this incident to a close. Well done everyone.
