KIDDERMINSTER Cricket Club has secured a sponsorship deal with opticians Specsavers based in the town’s Swan Centre and Sainsbury’s store.
The Chester Road outfit launched a bid earlier this year to attract additional sponsorship to fund player and facility development.
Alongside main sponsor Arc Groundcare, it now has 28 funding partners.
John Hilliard, club chairman, said: “To attract such an established and successful local business as Specsavers Kidderminster to support us is quite a coup and we hope to develop a fruitful and lasting partnership.
“As a leading club in the prestigious Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League and the Worcestershire League, along with an award-winning ground and large membership, we have much to offer our partners.”
Specsavers has invested in a boundary board and this season’s 1st Xl match day programmes.
Randeep Singh, store director at both Specsavers stores in the Swan Centre and Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re passionate about supporting our local community, alongside promoting health and fitness, and so are delighted to support Kidderminster’s cricket club. We look forward to following all the teams’ progress and hope the players all have their eyes on the ball.”
Other companies new to sponsoring the club this year include Shepherds’ Vet Centre, Allan Morris Estate Agents, Tiger Turf, Village Health and Wellness Club, Quasar Tronics, Hatton Flooring, Offline Marketing, Newleaf Plants, Hodgehill Garden Centre and luxury bed manufacturer Furmanac Ltd.
