The Twinning season is in full swing with three successful exchange visits in May and two others planned for June!
Last month 24 members of Kidderminster Choral Society sang in a joint concert in Husum with the Theodor Storm Chor whilst 4 members of Husum's Storm Quilters visited Kidderminster for the Malvern Quilt Festival. A minister from Husum was able to attend the ecumenical event with St Mary's and Trinity Methodist churches.
Between June 9th and 15th, 10 players, men and ladies, from Husumer Bucht Golf Club visit Kidderminster to compete for the Schimmel-Ryder Cup, currently held by Kidderminster. Having won the last two years, the home players are aiming for a record third win in a row! The visitors will also have two days of “fun” golf in Malvern and Ludlow. The trophy will be presented at the final dinner at Kidderminster Golf Club.
At the end of June, 6 gardeners from Husum will be in Kidderminster for a long weekend - the fourth visit for most! They have a full programme of “green fingered” activities plus a visit to the new Museum of Carpet.
