On Monday 1st July the 1st Kidderminster Boys' Brigade Company held their annual awards evening at Milton Hall Baptist Church.
The evening was to present all of the members their badges they have been working towards over the past 12 months. There were 36 Boys attending along with the Company staff. To see the Boys get their awards were parents, family members and friends filling the church near to capacity.
The guest of honour was Clive Joyce who is Editor of the Kidderminster Shuttle. This is to say thankyou for the support that Clive and the Shuttle have given to the Company through articles and also the Newsquest grant for new camping equipment.
Clive presented each Boy with their awards and it was a proud moment for their parents.
There was three special awards given out to some of the Officers. Captain Trish Criddle and Lieutenant Brenda Moule received their gold long service badge. For twenty years Lieutenant Graham Knight received his silver badge.
A the end of the presentations Clive was given a present from the Company and a closing address was given by Clive.
It was a good night to show people the work of the Boys' Brigade in Kidderminster and well done to all the members who received an award.
