9 Kidderminster gardeners returned from Husum last week after the 10th exchange with a group of gardeners from our beautiful twin town in Germany. As "old hands" renewed friendships with their hosts, the "newcomers" began to understand why the wearm welcome, fun and laughter with our hosts ensures the success of these trips!

In between superb group meals and frequent samplings of delicious cakes and local fish specialities, a packed programme included some wonderful gardens and flower displays, plus a day trip to Sylt: an island off the west coast approached by train over a causeway with a return journey by boat.

In pefect weather, the weekend flew past far too quickly and it was time to say goodbye  again until next summer's return visit to Kidderminster.  Plans are already afoot for this reunion with friends old and new!
