Kidderminster's Forest Quilters and Husum's Storm Quilters have been busy making quilts on the theme "My Home, My Town, My Homeland" for a three week joint exhibition in Husum's Town Hall, to be opened by the Burgermaister on Saturday 30th July. A party of 13 Forest Quilters and spouses will be travelling to Husum for the event, staying with hosts from the Storm Quilt group - the fourth such exchange. As well as some sewing, the agenda also includes some sightseeing - either flights over the area or a canal trip - and a traditional "Schattenfest" shooting festival.
It is hoped to bring all the quilts back to Kidderminster for display in the library here next year.
