On Wednesday 11th July some of the members of the 1st Kidderminster Boys' Brigade in the Senior section went to Worcester to see the Queen visiting the city. The Queen who is the patron of the Boys' Brigade was opening the Hive where a guard of honour was assembled with various youth organisations taking part. Two of our members Staff Sergeant Neil Russell and Sergeant Rhys Kay were asked to take part in this important duty. Afterwards they also helped form a guard of honour outside the Worcester guildhall where the Queen and Prince Phillip were having their lunch. It was a day that they will remember as its not every day you get to see the Queen.
