History was made at this year's Remembrance Parade, three young people Amilia Sinden Explorer Scout from the Districts Shackleton Unit along with Holly Clifford 12th Kidderminster Guides and Craig Bateman from the Boys Brigade marched back from St Mary's Church as part of the Civic Party. They then lined up along side the towns dignitaries and took the salute outside the Town Hall. Other duites carried out by the District Scouts and Explorers at the Service and ceremony included; the laying of the District wreath carrying the District flag lighting the peace candle and receiving the standards. An amazing turnout at the Kidderminster Parade, we estimate that there were more than 180 leaders and young people. We were also represented at Parades at Wolverley Cookley and Blakedown. Julie Goodyear the Kidderminster and District Scout Commissioner said " Thank you all so much, you should be justly proud of yourselves, you're all a credit to the movement and young people in general".
