Wyre Forest scouting groups would like to thank the public for their generosity along with the support they gave during this year’s annual Christmas supermarket bag packing.
The weather was a challenge for all concerned but in the end the activity raised £11,828.08 which will assist groups in their general scouting activities during the year. Funds for some involved will go towards camps later this year, the world scout jamboree in Sweden and the Kidderminster & District Cub camp in France.
District bag packing co ordinator Mark Searl wished to recognise the support offered by both Morrisons and Sainsbury’s and commentated “We have worked with these 2 stores locally now for many years and each year they accommodate scouting superbly”.
